Qualifications & Competencies

Diploma/Degree in sales & Marketing from a recognised institution

Roles and Responsibilities

Obtain and study information about client needs problems,advertising history and business practices in order to offer effective sales presentations and appropriate products assistance of the company
Prepare and deliver sales presentations to new and existing customers/protect and increase existing advertising for various products of the company.
Understand demand and identify new advertising niche markets and propose products to serve them
Locate and contact potential clients in order to offer advertising services for all products
Provide clients with estimates of the cost of advertising products,other products or services
Meet daily call quotas for sales to new and existing clients to ensure sales targets are met or exceeded
Handle the sale from the original phone call right through delivery,invoicing and follow up
Help to develop sales strategies by working with the Marketing Manager and the rest of the team
Explain to customers how specific types of advertising will help promote their products or services in the most effective way possible
Inform customers of available options for advertisement artwork,and provide samples
Recommend appropriate sizes and formats for advertising,depending on medium being used.
Draw up contacts for advertising work and collect payments due

Experience

Minimum two years experience and good Knowledge of the local market
Experience in the media sector would be an advantage
