Roles and Responsibilities

Ensure cleanliness of work area
Know regular guest names and requirements
Strong relationship with guests and internal customers
Maximise room sales
Prepare documentation for daily business
Ensure prompt, efficient and courteous reception of guests
Ensure the desk is covered at all times, allocating meal breaks sensibly
Ensure smooth hand over to next shift
Record and administer arrivals and departures
Full awareness of current daily status of hotel
Thoroughly conversant with all room types, décor and outlook
Be aware of daily functions, events, VIP and group arrivals
Ensure that no information regarding guest names, details or room numbers is given to unauthorised persons
Deal with guest request
Deal with guest complaint
Dealing with over booking
Ensure good use of walkie talkie
Conducting check in and update in Opera as and when required
Dealing with unexpected arrival and unexpected departure
Knowledge about the Internet & Wi-Fi facilities
Knowledge about the type of room available and description of services available
Knowledge about the conference facilities
Issuing new key to existing guest as and when required
Be fully aware of the Safety & Health policy and Emergency policy
Take care in work to avoid accidents
Report suspicious characters or suspect packages
Conduct any other cognate duties as assigned
