Tax Accountant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Tax Accountant to join our finance team. The Tax Accountant will be responsible for preparing and reviewing tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and identifying tax-saving opportunities for our clients or organization. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under deadlines.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, businesses, and organizations.
Analyze financial statements to assess tax implications and recommend strategies to minimize tax liability.
Research and interpret tax regulations to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
Advise clients or internal stakeholders on tax planning and strategies to optimize financial outcomes.
Assist with tax audits and respond to tax authorities' inquiries.
Stay updated with changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate implications to clients or internal teams.
Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and tax provision calculations.
Maintain organized tax records and documentation.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
Proven work experience as a Tax Accountant or similar role.
Strong knowledge of tax compliance, tax accounting, and tax planning.
Proficiency in tax preparation software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
