Qualifications & Competencies
- At least 2 years of experience in a store preferably in the hotel industry.
- HSC or equivalent.
- Good oral and written expression in French and in English.
- Good Communication Skills both verbal and written English/French.
- Proficiency in MS office & Excel.
- Integrity and professionalism.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Discreet and confidential.
- A team player with the capacity to work autonomously as well.
- Be results-oriented.
- Be rigorous and respectful of hotel control processes.
Responsibilities
- Managing employee performance through coaching, counseling, and termination when needed.
- Supervising and training employees to ensure that they are providing excellent customer service and upholding company standards.
- Establishing and enforcing policies and procedures for store operations such as staffing levels, floor plans, pricing, policies, and procedures.
- Overseeing salespeople, cashiers, shelf stockers, and other employees.
- Managing finances and preparing an annual budget.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, financial management, or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Demonstrable experience in a supervisory capacity at a retail store, or similar.
- Extensive experience with preparing budgets, and financial and expense reports.
- In-depth knowledge of product and consumer trends, and marketing strategies.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills in dealing with employees and customers.
- Competency in retail management software, such as AIM and NetSuite.
- Proficiency with spreadsheet and word processing software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with applicable labor laws, and retail health and safety standards.
