PAYROLL OFFICER

Duties and Responsibilities

• Process payroll on a monthly basis and maintain all employee records on Payroll Sicorax.
• Processing of overtime payment for site workers including liaison with different site managers for required fingerprint and attendance sheets.
• Review of monthly payroll with CFO and Director.
• Preparation of bank transfer documents and cheques for salary payment.
• Assist external auditors with all queries relating to payroll as well as CFO/Director as and when required.
• Prepare and submit PAYE, CSG & PRGF returns on monthly basis via MNS and MRA websites and RPE on a yearly basis.
• Prepare and issue statement of emoluments on a yearly basis.
• Prepare Payroll Reports for the accounting department to send on a monthly basis.
• Create HR files and manage respective employee folders with by updating relevant information as and when required.
• Attend mail correspondence.
• Responsible for all disptach and postage of documents relating to payroll.
• Perform any other cognate duties and prepare any report as may be required by management.

Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, human resources, or a similar field.
• 3 - 5 years working experience in the same field.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proficient with payroll software including Payroll SICORAX.
• Familiarity with accounting software and procedures.
• Ability to handle confidential information.
• Well versed with the Mauritian law and applicable regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
