DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Cover the end-to-end steps of payroll processing along with four eye controls, backups, error resolution, etc.;
• Complete monthly statutory filings;
• Check monthly payroll for Mauritius, and highlight anomalies in payroll to the maker to enhance the quality of output on an ongoing basis;
• Recommend system enhancements necessary to support the existing processes;
• Monthly Medical/Pensions Reconciliations including payment to the provider and check of the input in the payroll system;
• To support and assist all payroll-related audits, and data requests about the same;
• To perform independent checks on Systems to ensure data accuracy and reliability at all times;
• To create and maintain a controlled working environment at all times;
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• BSc/BA or equivalent in Business, Accounting, Human Resources, or relevant field
• Proven experience as payroll officer or payroll specialist
• Very good knowledge of legislation and regulations of the field
• Proficient in MS Office and good knowledge of relevant software
