Head Vegetation Management Services (Tree Lopping)

Desirable Knowledge, Aptitude and Competencies

• Ability to work effectively with a wide of stakeholders.
• Ability to lead and train employees in all aspects if vegetation management and control.
• Ability to communicated effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Knowledge of tree pruning, tree falling, tree lopping and weeding.
• Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.
• Knowledge of management principles and practices.
• Knowledge of the safe and proper use of the different equipment and machinery used in the business of vegetation control and monitoring.
• Ability to work in a team environment with multiple and rapidly changing priorities.
• Excellent computer skills in Microsoft office.
• General knowledge of various employment laws and practices and employees relations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma in management or alternative equivalent qualification acceptable to the Board.
• Minimum of 3year’s experience level.
• Experience in the field of Vegetation management will be an advantage.
• Proven experience in manning large operation team.
• Valid Driving License

Duties and Responsibilities

1. To be responsible for planning, directing and overseeing the operations of the Vegetation Unit.
2. To ensure that resources are properly allocated, to accomplish company’s productivity and quality goals.
3. To foster a spirit of teamwork and unity among employees.
4. To identify training needs and propose plans to enhance effectiveness at all levels.
5. To develop and manage annual budget for the unit and perform periodic cost and productivity analysis.
6. To plan and develop strategies and program for generating revenues for the unit.
7. To monitor working time, with the supervisors to ensure that overtime and staff timesheets are completed correctly to meet payroll deadlines.
8. To monitor and manage staff absences and turnover, ensuring flexible cover can be arranged at short notice, and promoting good staff attendance at all time.
9. To ensure key performance indicators set for the unit are met.
10. To ensure safe working practices and compliance with all safety rules and regulations.
11. To ensure proper administration of the company’s assets under his responsibility.
12. To participate in the preparation of bidding documents and the evaluation of bids.
13. To perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Remuneration and Other Benefits:
It is proposed to grant the following monthly package to the incumbent
