Salesforce Technical Architect

Qualifications & Competencies

 Master in Computer Science, Mathematics or related fields would be a distinct advantage.

Technical skills
 Salesforce Certified Technical architect (preferred), or Salesforce Certified Application Architect
Broad experience with software projects in Financial Services, preferably FinTech
 Hands-on experience in Salesforce configuration, coding, app design, Visualforce, Apex, and feature
design on a range of applications for different purposes
 Strong understanding of platform security
 Experience with automated testing suites (e.g., Selenium-based).
 Strong analytical and technical skills with clear understanding of the lifecycle of software projects
 Experience working with Agile methodologies (e.g. Kanban, Scrum)
 Experience working with devOps continuous integrations and deployment (e.g. Jenkins, Bamboo) and
building tools (Maven)

Roles and Responsibilities

Responsible for all aspects of the Bank’s Salesforce infrastructure, setup, data model, user interface,
business processes and business logic configuration, security setup, and integrations with other
systems.
 Oversee the work of a team of 5-7 Salesforce developers who develop, extend and maintain custom
applications, ensuring adherence to Salesforce best design practice and usage (CPU, SOQL) limits.
 Oversee the development lifecycle from development to testing and deployment, to ensure the delivery
of highly secure solutions.
 Work with business analysts and external stakeholders, as well as individual developers to propose
technical solutions for business requirements.
 Safeguard the robustness and scalability of technical solutions, to ensure compatibility with future
developments, new products and features, etc.
 Full understanding of all Salesforce aspects and quirks, and go-to person for any technical Salesforce
questions.
 Follow Salesforce’s development roadmap, and advocate to the business new features and
opportunities for automation that could be of benefit.
 Make recommendations on solutions involving; configuration, coding, using managed package solutions
and other alternatives, considering speed of delivery, flexibility and quality of different options.
 Work closely with solution architect and integrations teams on interaction with other banks systems

Experience

8-10 years’ with relevant experience in Salesforce implementation. Certifications would be an add on.
