Payroll Officer

Qualifications & Competencies

1- Degree holder.
2- Knowledge in complex payroll calculation and transactions

Roles and Responsibilities

1- Support with the capturing and reviewing of Time and Attendance data as may be required by payroll
2- End to end processing of selected (weekly, fortnightly and monthly) payroll(s).
3- On-going maintenance of payroll system and leave planning system (if applicable).
4- Updating and maintaining payroll records.
5- Liaising with staff and management on payroll related queries.
6- Maintaining leave, sickness and overtime reports.
7- Interpreting awards/agreements and contracts in relation to overtime, shift allowances etc.
8- Undertaking required reporting, both internal and statutory reporting.
9- Payroll administration –filing, setting up new starters.
10- Calculation and payment of termination payments.
11- Processing increases and calculation of back pays.
12- Assisting with month end consolidation.
13- Assisting with reconciliation and payment of payroll and tax.

Experience

1-Experience in the construction industry would be beneficial
2-Experience in process development within payroll in view of ISO or similar certification
3-Successfully manage projects specially in executing and interfacing with suppliers/clients
Previous experience with an ERP system would be advantageous
4-Working knowledge of the full Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Power Point) to at least
intermediate/advance stage
