Qualifications & Competencies
- Diploma in Stock Control, Logistics or related field.
- Possess working knowledge of a wide range of equipment, and basic tools/equipment trouble-shooting knowledge.
- Computer literate and fully conversant with MS Office applications.
- Excellent organisation and people management skills.
- Holder of a valid clean driving licence.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Monitor and track tools and equipment on a daily basis by job, site, type and use
- Instruct internal customers about the operation of equipment as to application, capabilities, limitations, starting, stopping, servicing, correct loading and safety issues.
- Check equipment upon return, ensuring that damage, or any missing items or parts are recorded and reported.
- Maintain effective reception, storage and distribution of tools and equipment.
- Prepare purchase orders for rental equipment; track each piece of rented equipment by job site and job number.
- Prepare a monthly budget report for operations outlining fixed and controllable equipment costs and a weekly budget analysis of rentals and repairs.
- Perform regularspot inventories on site.
- Oversee repair requests and work performed by outside suppliers on tools and equipment.
- Track the records, licenses, inspections, warantees, and service agreements for the organisations equipment and tools.
- Liaise with Purchasing, operations departments & suppliers to maintain an effective control on stock to ensure timely re-ordering.
Experience
A minimum of 5 years of working experience in a similar position.
