Qualifications & Competencies

• Current, professional certification (CompTIA A+, Network + security+)
• Experience servicing, supporting and ordering hardware, workstation needs, printers, etc.
• Highly adaptable; must be able to work in a team environment
• Highly organized, accurate and precise in work functions
• Strong time management skills; exemplary record of attendance and punctuality
- Knowledge of and experience installing, maintaining, updating, and patching multiple server-side operating systems, Windows, Unix, Linux.
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting networks
- Experience configuring Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office as well as installing updates and patches
- Strong ability to analyze and evaluate emerging software
- Strong ability to troubleshoot IT-related problems
- Very strong customer service, communication and desktop troubleshooting skills
- Must have been able to complete and support incidents using established procedures
- Familiar with a hardware and software support in the Microsoft Windows 7, Windows XP and MS Office suite environment
- Must be able to multi-task
- Outstanding knowledge of multiple hardware and software applications
- Able to successfully work with wide range of end-users to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
- Required to read and comprehend provided technical documentation.

Roles and Responsibilities

- Check and respond to incoming requests (tickets) from customers within established timeframes
- Maintain database of requests by updating and closing tickets as required
- Maintain on-going knowledge of relevant information in the field of information technology
- Document solutions to problems encountered
- Service and support end user hardware needs
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and provide technical assistance (hardware, software, connectivity, etc.), as well as external employees using remote access software
- Research materials regarding new technology and applications as it relates to to help improve day to day functionality
- Create knowledge articles for processes as needed
