Qualifications & Competencies

- At least Higher School Certificate or equivalent.

- Tertiary Educational Advanced Certificate at Diploma Level from a recognized institution majoring in Hospitality Management.

-National Certificates 4 or 5 in Restaurant and Bar.

- Passionate about service.

- Creative and innovative.
- Well-versed in Beverages making trends.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team efficiently.

-A third language will be a definite advantage.
-Food Handlers’ Medical Certificate.
- Willingness to work during odd hours,

Roles and Responsibilities

-Schedule alcohol service employees for every function.
- Prepare alcohol orders entire day for dining and room service.
- Manage alcohol beverage stock in service and lobby bar as required.
- Ensure every alcoholic beverage ordered is paid.
- Update financial paperwork of banquet bars and make cash deposits.
- Supervise beverage staff working in bars, and lounges.
-Ensure work areas are clean .
-Schedule, train and evaluate beverage staff appearance and guest service follows service standards.
- Report to Food & Beverage Director.
- Ensure smooth functioning of beverage department everyday.
- Improve and maintain beverage sales and profitability.
- Provide good guest service and reduce guest complaints.
- Maintain compliance with beverage staff and cost budgets.
- Control bar processes including par levels, finances and beverage menu selection.
- Coordinate with staff and their work schedules.

Experience

- A minimum of 9 years working experience in Beverages/ Bar operations in a luxury Hotel.

- A minimum of 4 years working experience as Assistant Beverage Manager in a 4 or 5 Star Hotel.
