Qualifications & Competencies

-Strong knowledge in Food and Beverage in the hospitality industry
-A diploma in hospitality management or tourism or equivalent qualification
-Proficiency in IT, particularly in Microsoft Office tools and accounting software
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-Excellent time management and organisational skills
-Ability to train, lead team members and effectively build teams
-Ability to multi-task and learn quickly

Roles and Responsibilities

-Assist the F&B Director/Manager in coordinating all F&B operations within the different F&B outlets, as well as, liaising and coordinating with the other departments and ensure that the clients experience the most magnifique moments and that the F&B operating standards are being abided to at all times
-Be aware of all the Food & Beverage policies and procedures and ensure compliance by all employees of F&B Department
-Be responsible for the administrative responsibilities within the Food and Beverage Department , including but not limited to writing memos, letters, faxes, reports, requisitions
-Is in charge of creating and approving food and drink menus, in collaboration with the Food & Beverage Manager
-Is updated on the financial information related to the F&B Department, for example, but not limited to, Budget, Food Cost, Revenue, inventories data and, analyse and provide feedback on same, as and when requested
-Order, take inventory of stock, maintain records of purchase and sales , for the smooth running of the operations
-Prepare weekly/monthly rosters of employees and update leaves record as per established process
-Develop and maintain a good, positive relationship with all employees
-Be aware of the Hotel Events updates and communicate to those concerned efficiently
-Organise departmental meetings, as and when required by Management, and ensure communication happens effectively and efficiently within the team
-Check and ensure employees meet all legislative, payroll and Human Resources requirements at all times, in collaboration with the Human Resources Department
-Ensure that the ambassadors have the right tools, equipment and uniforms when on duty and performing duties and that they abide to the health and safety procedures at all times
-Ensure that the employees abide to the Food Safety and HACCP guidelines and policies
-Is aware and abide to all the Health and Safety procedures and to Quality Management policies and procedures put in place
-Focus on quality and contribute to hotel profitability through effective cost controls
-Maintain high standard luxury Food & Beverage Area (‘Univers’), involving outstanding customer care/service, excellent grooming and work etiquette, high security and cleanliness/hygiene in all areas at all times
-Ensure that all Food & Beverage services within all Welcome Areas are fully operational at all times
-Support Management in driving a Guest-Centric culture in the hotel and in creating awareness and understanding among employees on the importance of the Guest Experience

Experience

-At least 2 years experience in similar position in the hospitality industry, preferably in a luxury setting
