Qualifications & Competencies
minimum Diploma from a recognized institution
Excellent knowledge of security best practices
Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and changes
Excellent leadership, planning, organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills
Outstanding surveillance skills with an eye for detail, honesty and integrity
Roles and Responsibilities
Determine, recommend, and implement security and safety procedures to prevent and detect irregularities, and internal losses on hotel premises
Ensure that all associates, regardless of job grade, adhere to set security procedures, and report any breach to Management
Oversee and monitor surveillance procedures through the operation of patrols, security log books, CCTV security systems and radio equipment, ensuring their effective use, accuracy, and ongoing reliability
Thoroughly investigate, solve, document, and report accidents, thefts, property losses, and any unlawful activities on a timely basis
Organize, supervise, coach, and discipline the security staff
Experience
5+ years of experience in a similar capacity with prior supervisory experience in the police force
