Qualifications & Competencies

Degree in Quantity Surveying.

Registered with the Professional Quantity Surveyor's Council.

Fully conversant with shop drawings and construction drawings.

Exposure in timber manufacturing industry would be a definite advantage.

Self-organizer with strong analytical skills.

Ability to work under pressure.

Holder of a valid driving license

Roles and Responsibilities

Estimate quantity of materials and prepare costing of tenders.

Take off quantities from plans and prepare bill of Quantities (BOQ).

Perform site visits for job Contract Managers/Supervisors of progress of work.

Check and measure extra work on sites and price all variations accordingly.

prepare materials requirements fro production.

Advise clients on technical matters.

Liaise with clients, architects and engineers.

Prepare all supporting documents for tenders.

Experience

MINIMUM 5 years of proven experience preferably gained in a construction or contracting environment.
