Qualifications & Competencies

Opensphere, major pure-play cybersecurity group, is now in Mauritius. We are looking to boost our team with an inland IT Security Consultant.

The suitable incumbent will provide advice and guidance to our business partners on security issues in line with the ISO27001 based information security policy.

The ideal candidate would:
• be an (MSC / BAC +5) holder, or someone having proven experiences within system audits as well as penetration tests
• want to make a difference by using his/her technical background, organisational skills and establishing relationships with our business partners

You won't be on your own. Joining the security team gives you the support and ability to draw on the experience of colleagues from a wide range of backgrounds and several decades of experience.

Skills
• Strong technical aptitude and exposure to ISO 27001 / COBIT / OWASP based security polices and standards
• Exposure to web application security and penetration testing
• The candidate should have a strong understanding of Information Security including threats, attacks, and vulnerability management
• Expertise within Mobile & Security as well as Network architecture
• Well versed in risks assessments
• Exposure to cryptography and Forensics analysis
• The candidate should have good organizational and technical documentation skills

Roles and Responsibilities

Security Consultancy - Provide Security consultancy in BAU (Business As Usual) activities and within projects and change initiatives to define solutions that support the current and future business vision.

Lead and support the delivery of security transformation for our local and regional clients/partners and work in partnership with our key stakeholders to design and deliver;
• Enhanced security governance and offering ISO27001 guidelines
• Compliance with company/client information security polices and standards.
• Security into infrastructure design
• To engage of specialist security consultancy such as penetration testing
• The enhancement of procedures to response to and escalate security incidents
• Assist with the design enhancements and implementation of vulnerability management
• Develop and maintain the security awareness program for business and IT managers
• Up-to-date assessments of technological upgrades

Experience

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• A proven track record of experience in an Information / IT Security or IT Audit related role
• Exposure to project management disciplines
• Security+ CISSP / CISM / CISA / CEH qualification or similar is desirable but not essential
